My Second Sephora Play Delivery! (AUGUST)

I love getting beauty subscriptions. Being a makeup addict, it’s one of the most exciting things to get in the mail. It’s $10 a month for the subscription to the Sephora Play, and this month I got six high end beauty items.

First off, let me just say that I’m not impressed with the fact that they used the term “makeup geek” because they are well aware of the indie, internet based brand Makeup Geek that was started by YouTuber Marlena.  It’s an amazing brand with great, high quality shadows, blushes, highlights, and more. Marlena, the founder of Makeup Geek is pretty upset about it, rightfully so.

Here’s the loot:

The item I was most excited about getting this month is the Hourglass Vanish Stick Foubdation. I’ve been dying to try it, but the full size is so pricey at $46 for .25 oz. This is definitely not my color, but I can try it out to see how it wears and if it would be worth getting in my shade. It is supposed to be very full coverage, which is how I roll, and it feels so creamy!

Next is this volumizing mist from Alterna. My hair is very fine and easily falls flat. I don’t use products with silicones or sulfate in my hair, and this does not contain either, so I will definitely be trying this.  Myself and my daughter might really like it, and it’s a pretty decent sample size. Full size is $30

I got this mascara from Clinique that comes with a lash primer and mascara. I’ve used a lash primer before by Benefit, I really like how full it makes your lashes look. I’m happy with this product. The full size primer is $17, and mascara is $18. Sweet deal!

I’m interested to try this BeatyBlender micro.mini for blending out my concealer. Obviously the original BeautyBlender is amazing, and I’m hoping this functions just as well. This retails as a 2-pack for $18. Another amazing deal!

This Golden Krokus Ageless Safron Elixer (above) is $98 for the full 1 oz size!! Mine is .14 oz, so probably about a $14 value. This claims to be good for all skin types, and correct all visible signs of aging. We’ll see Korres, we’ll see.

Lastly, the purfume included is from Burberry. I haven’t smelled it yet, and I’m really not a purfume girl, so I don’t really have an opinion on this.

So this is what I got, I feel it is so worth the cost of the subscription to get all these items!! What are your thoughts on this month’s Play box? Did you get similar items?
